As a Douglas County Planning Commissioner, I had the privilege to tour all of the non-urban subareas of the Comprehensive Master Plan in May 2018 with our incredible staff and my fellow commissioners, including the historic and breathtaking Sandstone Ranch, acquired and preserved now for you as open space. Citizens have consistently ranked preserving open space in Douglas County as a top priority.
As a Douglas County Planning Commissioner, my job is to make sure that we always have amazing communities that are beautifully built, where citizens are included in the process. I will continue that work as your County Commissioner. Protecting the true character of all of our communities – suburban and rural – is such an important part of the job, and in every decision put before the commission, I will always put the citizen’s interest before the special interests and the status quo.
