One of the issues that has continually been brought up during my listening tour is water and transportation infrastructure. As a Douglas County Planning Commissioner and 15 year land-use attorney, I am the most qualified candidate to address these topics as County Commissioner.
During my tenure on the Planning Commission I have heard many challenging cases including Franktown Village, Sterling Ranch, Rueter-Hess Reservoir, and much more. These cases contained detailed testimony on water, utility, transportation, metro district financing, land use and property rights issues. The decisions made take into consideration thousands of pages of information, hours of public testimony, expert witnesses and vigorous debate. Through all of this, I have been an advocate and voice for the citizens of the county. This is the voice you need for County Commissioner.
As County Commissioner, water and traffic infrastructure will be a top priority of mine. I will:
- Ensure the water rights of existing Douglas County residents are maintained and the expanding water needs of future residents are dependable and proactively planned for.
- Make sure those that are involved and instrumental in our growth are helping to pay for it and focused on future concerns like traffic congestion and road maintenance.
I ask for your support and vote so I can continue to make progress in these areas as County Commissioner.
Thank you and God Bless,
