Another issue that is close to the hearts of Douglas County citizens is responsible growth. As a Douglas County Planning Commissioner and with my 15 years of experience as a land-use attorney, I am the most qualified and experienced candidate to tackle this challenging issue.
As a Planning Commissioner, I have spent countless volunteer hours hearing and reviewing cases that impact the growth of our county. My participation in developing the Transportation Master Plan and Comprehensive Master Plan, as well as overseeing special use requests, planned unit developments, utility location and extents, preliminary and final plats, charter school L&Es and development applications, subdivision developments, zoning resolution amendments, rezoning requests, special district service plans, Douglas County intergovernmental agreements, and more, has made me intimately aware of the growth-related issues we face as a county. At public hearings and during conversations, I have heard you. In all of the challenging decisions I have had to make, I have advocated for you and been your voice.
As your County Commissioner, I will help to ensure that we keep rural areas rural while working collaboratively with community-minded developers to create beautiful living spaces where the county needs them.
